Montreal, boulevard St-Laurent, 1994. The twins Nouschka and Nicolas Tremblay, child stars of a fallen songwriter with flamboyant egocentrism, have lived all their lives in a symbiosis as adorable as it is twisted, always preferring a tragedy to the ordinary. On the eve of the referendum, the province’s quest for identity will echo that of Nouschka, who has also caught the emancipation bug. Will she be able to free herself from her family to finally live her life as she pleases? Or is she doomed to remain a Tremblay, a family that loves each other dearly despite a broken past that continues to haunt them?
